What we do ...

Voyage Planning
From simple suggestions of the best places to visit through to detailed itineraries, we can help you to plan your voyage. Our first-hand knowledge of wilderness areas worldwide, network of local contacts and background in expedition travel means we can design an itinerary that will give you the highlights of any region. Whether it is the finest beaches, most pristine reefs, exciting dive sites, primitive cultures, magnificent landscapes, friendly natives or wildlife spectacles that you are searching for; we can help you find the perfect locations for an unsurpassed experience.

Permit Applications
Wilderness cruising grounds are often protected areas, requiring specific entry permits or additional documentation for your vessel. We can advise on which permits will be necessary, assist in the application process, and help your vessel meet any required environmental standards.

 Marine Consulting
Our team includes marine professionals with many years of experience taking vessels safely into the world’s most treacherous waters. Voyaging to a remote area takes serious planning on the part of your Captain and crew, and we can make this process more efficient. Seasoned experts are available to work with you, from general information on preparing your vessel, and navigation in the region, to specific information including unpublished surveys and handmade anchorage charts for many cruising grounds.

The Polar Regions present special challenges to any vessel. We can advise on the conditions to expect, when and where to go (and more importantly which areas to avoid), how to best prepare your vessel, ensure you have no impact on the environment while there, and if desired also arrange for an experienced ice pilot with local knowledge to sail with you.

If you are in the process of designing or building an expedition yacht, you may wish to consult our marine team. With over 30 seasons experience in small ship voyages to the Polar Regions, we know what works and what does not when operating in the most extreme environments.

Expedition Leading, Interpretation & Guiding
Should you wish an expert guide to accompany your vessel on your voyage of discovery, we can help you find the right person. We know the finest interpretive specialists, a far cry from regular tour guides, who can provide local expertise and interpret the cultural or natural history of the region, truly bringing it alive for your guests and enhancing their experience enormously.

Our guides include expedition leaders, dive guides, and specialists in anthropology, botany, geology, history, marine biology and ornithology. However, often the most useful person to have aboard is a general naturalist, who can do everything from identify tundra plants to whales. Your guests will find the diverse knowledge of our field experts a huge advantage in understanding the region you are exploring. Our guides are able to give formal presentations on the region, briefings on sites to be visited, conduct question and answer sessions, and provide interpretation both on board and ashore.

Familiar with the very private nature of the super-yacht industry, you can be assured that the knowledge and experience of our specialist staff is matched by their personal skills, discretion and ability to assimilate into an established team.
